She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1935 and Eastern Michigan University in 1939 where she met her future husband. She married Tex Walker on December 24, 1942 in North Carolina while Tex was in the Navy during WWII. They had a son, Gary, in 1944. After the war she and Tex started teaching careers in Dearborn, Michigan. In 1964 she obtained a Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan and became a counselor at Dearborn High School.

They both retired in 1975 and moved to Elk Lake near Elk Rapids, Ml. In 1996 they moved to Holland, Ml and lived there until her husband's passing in 2006. She moved to Caretel Inns of Lakeland in 2008 to be near her son. Lillian's favorite sports were tennis and basketball. She also did a lot of craft work, reading, and a world traveler.

She went back to school at age 70 and took classes on using computers. Lillian is survived by her son Gary (Nancy) Walker of St. Joseph, Ml. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Tex Walker, her parents Edward and Mary Galbraith and her brothers Edward, Arthur, Clarence, and Donald. WHITEHEAD late James Lyles.

She attended Tennessee State University where she pledged A.K.A. Sorority in 1958. She met, fell in love with and married Ron Crenshaw, a biology major from Fisk University, and had her first child, Ron in 1959. The family moved to St. Louis, her husband's home town after graduation in 1962.

She began her teaching career in 1 966 and taught in several areas of the country, including South Dakota and Illinois. The family finally settled in Detroit in the Fall of 1972. JoAnn taught in the Detroit, Birmingham and Berkley public schools. She earned a masters degree in education from Oakland University in 1983. She continued teaching until 2003, when her husband fell ill.

She was highly respected by her peers and loved by her students. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years in 2004 and her oldest sister Jewel in 2005. Survivors include son Ron Jr. and daughter Candace, grandchildren Bianca, Aniaand Theo, three sisters and two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Bette was born May 24, 1929 in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Lynch. Bette graduated from Fordson High school in 1947. She attended Marygrove College, transferred to Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1951 In 1955 she married Edward J.

Karmann, and raised a family in Lansing. In 1975 she graduated from Michigan State with a Masters degree in Library Science, obtained her teaching certificate, and worked at schools in East Lansing and Okemos. She then worked at MSU, running the Math and Science Resource Library, and later was a Academic advisor for several MSU schools, including Package Engineering. In April 2005, Bette married Frank Blake of Elk Rapids, Ml. Bette and Frank lived in several locations in the Traverse City area.

Bette is survived by her son Ed Karmann, and wife Linda of Alanson Ml, and her daughter, Mary Barrett and husband Paul of Traverse City. A memorial services will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church of Traverse City, on February 7, at 1 :00 p.m. with a visitation held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bette's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 921 W.

He followed in his father's footsteps by going into the construction business. He worked for a variety of contractors until 1963 when he started Sullivan Brother's Excavating with his brother Tim. Mike was an owner of Sullivan and O'Sullivan Beer Wholesalers as well as Waterville Construction Company. He was also Chairman of the Genessee County Food Bank. His entrepreneurial spirit inspired many young business men and women.

Irish heritage was a great part of his life. He was a member of the AOH Stephen Walsh Division for over 50 years and served as President of the Building Corporation. In the 1960s he began working on the St. Patrick's Day Parade and ran the event as Chairman for 26 years, from 1977 to 1993. Mike served as President of the United Irish Societies from 1978 to 1983.

He also raised a considerable amount of money for the Irish Pallottine Missions in Africa. Mike passed away Saturday evening, surrounded by his family. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 44 years, their four children, Michael (Stephanie), Brigid (Jeff), Joe (Eileen) and Barbara, their seven grandchildren (Ryan, Madeline, Maura, Megan, Roan, Jack and Brady), his sister Margaret, and his brother Dan.
