An avid reader and gardener, he also took great interest in community service and education, acting as an advisor on the steering committees that founded Gabriel Richard Hiqh School and Wyandotte Catholic Consolidated Schools. George's generous spirit touched all who knew him, but especially his family, friends, neighbors and employees.

Selfless to a fault, he always found time to offer his generous support and guidance to all in need. His loving example lives on in those he touched.
