David Marshall, a 12-year Detroit police veteran, was charged after a Dec. 13 traffic stop with resisting arrest and running a red light near 10 Mile and Inkster in Farmington Hills. Police say Marshall, who lives in Farmington Hills, was in his uniform when he was followed in his vehicle by a police car to his street.

He was shot with a Taser after he refused to give up his gun and later reached for it, police said.
