Wolpe scheduled statewide nouncement tour to Wednesday in Stabenow Detroit. He has long claimed affinity for the city and its causes from his years in Congress. On Monday, Stabenow tried to show that she's made Detroit inroads, releasing a list of supporters that included City Council President Maryann Mahaffey and two other council members, five Detroit state legislators, school board members and an assortment of church and community leaders. She told about 70 people at the New St. Paul Tabernacle Church of God that she had "supported the City of Detroit every day, and I'm going to continue to do that." Republican Gov.

John Engler has "disinvested" in the city, she said, and she promised to reverse that trend. "It's time we realize we're all one." Wolpe's campaign manager Ken Brock said his candidate has an equally impressive list of supporters from Detroit, especially among labor unions and churches. "I think you'll see who has the strongest organization Aug. 2," he said. A spokesman for state Rep.

Lynn Jondahl, D-Okemos, said Jondahl kicked off his campaign in Detroit, visits there regularly, enjoys the support of lots of Detroiters but won't have another kickoff. "We'll have our next press event in Detroit when we have something 1 to say about an issue people care about," said James Curran. The fourth candidate, Lansing lawyer Larry Owen, has touted himself as the only candidate with southeast Michigan roots in a field where all the contenders live in Ingham County. Deradoorian was devoted to his family, his church and his business. After founding Dorian Industries, a tool and die business in Roseville, and running it for 25 years, he was ready to hand over more responsibility to his son David and relax a little. Mr. Deradoorian, 58, John 0. drowned Thurs- Deradoorian day while vacationing with his family on the British West Indies island of St.

Kitts. He was playing with his grandchildren at the beach when he apparently was caught in the undertow. Friends described him as a spiritual man whose personal ethics carried over into his business and whose business relationships led to friendship. "He was just a rare individual," said his friend Don Rutter. When custom- CLARENCE W.

BLENMAN, 88, a retired lawyer, died of cancer Feb. 17 at his home in Bloomfield Township. He started a law practice in Detroit in 1928. Three years later, he moved his offices to Birmingham, where he remained until he retired in 1986. Mr.

Blenman was on the Birmingham Zoning Board of Appeals, was an original board member of Camp Oakland and had been a representative on the Oakland County Board of Supervisors. He was a past president of the Birmingham Lions Club and a member of the Birmingham Senior Men's Club, Masonic Lodge No. 44, the ClawsonTroy Elks Club and the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham. He received a law degree from the University of Michigan. He served in the Army in 1942-46.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, and brother Frank. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at William R. Hamilton 820 E. Maple, Birmingham.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 1669 W. Maple, Birmingham. THE REV. LEON ORMOND KENNEDY, 85, a former professor at Madonna and Marygrove colleges, died of congestive heart failure at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford Township.

He retired in 1973 as professor at Madonna and pastor of St. Dominic Church in Clinton. He had been a professor at Sacred Heart Seminary from 1937-50 and at Marygrove from 1938-50, and pastor at St. Francis of Assisi in Ann Arbor from 1950-59. He is survived by 12 nephews, and 11 nieces.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Muehlig Funeral Chapel 403 S. Fourth Ann Arbor. Additional visitation from 9-11 a.m.

Wednesday will precede the 11 a.m. funeral at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. JOHN A.

LLOYD, 79, former president of the Birmingham-Bloomfield Board of Realty, died Saturday of complications following a stroke at Georgian Bloomfield nursing home in Bloomfield Hills. Mr. Lloyd of Bloomfield Township worked for IBM in Dearborn for 27 years before retiring in 1973. He then worked as a real estate agent for various companies for almost 20 years.
