Post Will Wed Free Press Wire Services WASHINGTON Mrs. Mar-jorie Merriweather Post, one of the nation's richest women, said Monday she will marry Herbert May, of Pittsburgh, before June 28. She is 71 and has been married three times. An aide to Mrs. Post said no date or place had been set.

But he quoted Mrs. Post as saying she would marry as reported by the Washington Evening Star. MAY, the newspaper said, win be 66 next month. It said he will retire by the end of the year from his post as executive vice president of the Westing-house Airbrake International Co. Mrs.

Her last husband, whom she divorced three years -ago, was Joseph E. Davies, former ambassador to Russia. He died last Thursday. The letter, addressed "for the law only," reads as if it were written in part by Caril and partly by her 19-year-old boy friend.

THE LETTER said that "Chuck" came to the home of Marion Bartlett, Caril's stepfather, full of high spirits. "Mom told him to get out and never come back," the letter said, it said her stepfather began to hit Starkweather and push him around. Starkweather had a shotgun. "Well Chuck pulled it and (then there was the picture of a bullet) and my dad dropped to the floor. My mom was so mad she had a (then there was the drawing of a' knife) and she was going to cut him.

,1 got a gun and stopped my mother." The letter said her 2 V2 -year-old sister was "yelling so loud I hit her with the gun about ten times." Starkweather had a knife, the letter paid, and "he let it' go, it stopped somewhere by her head." "We just looked at them for about four hours andv then dragged them outside. Then me and Chuck lived with each other and we were going to kill each other but everybody, wouldn't stay away. "Chuck and I are sorry for what we did but now we are going on -to the end." THE LAST PART of the letter appeared to have been written by Starkweather. It said: "I and Caril are sorry for what has happened cause I have hurt everybody. But I am saying one thing: Every? body that came out there are lucky they 'are not dead.

"So far we have killed seven persons." The letter was the second produced at the trial Monday. Starkweather wrote right after his capture that he was "not real sorry" that he killed II persons, because for the first time he and Caril had "more fun." The letter said Caril did not do the killing, but "helped me a lot."
