Mrs. Primo, born Marie Nash in Clarksburg, W.Va., also was an antiques and art collector who had loaned paintings to the Detroit Institute of Arts. She supported the Detroit Zoo and Grosse Pointe Public Library. She was listed in Who's Who, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of Business and Industry.

In addition to her daughter, survivors include her husband of 41 years, Joseph, and three sisters. Visitation will be. 1-9 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at A.H.

Giving credit to her mentor, Mrs. Primo said in a 1985 Free Press interview, "He always told me that location was important but you could take a good location and ruin it." Instead, Mrs. Primo took a great location and saw ways to make the center fit better into the community. When an S.S. Kresge store was damaged by a fire in 1972, Mrs.

Primo said, "We bought out their lease because we knew they were not the right type of tenant. Who in this area would buy a $2.98 cotton housedress?" She hand picked retailers to create the image she wanted for the center. "She was a highly motivated and self-directed person, very hard-charging," said her daughter, Joan. Witnesses said the northbound truck collided with the car, then swerved into another car traveling south on Lonyo. The second car was flung into a used car lot and pinned beneath the truck's cab. The driver of the second car was helped to safety by passersby and later taken to a hospital.

The driver of the first car also was transported to a hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured. Firefighters didn't release the names of those who were injured. OAKLAND Authorities to exhume body of patient who saw Oster BERKLEY The body of a second patient who died under the care of Dr. Scott Oster is to be exhumed at 8:30 this morning at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.

Oakland County Prosecutor Richard Thompson has ordered a coroner's inquest into the March 1994 death of Esther Heit, 65, of Hazel Park at Oakland General Hospital. ALPHONSO (STONEY) STARKS, 87, a founder of the Elmwood III district council, died of cancer Friday at home in Detroit. He was active from 1972 until 1988 with the council, which promoted housing and other development in the old Black Bottom area of Detroit. Born in Griffin, he had lived in Detroit since 1919.
