By contrast, "To Catch a Killer" offers a haunting chronicle of a perverse twist in the human condition. Gacy is never glamorized. And the suffering of those who died and the anguish of the families who grieved for them is never played for cheap tabloid thrills. Three-and-a-half stars. never flinches from the demonic reality of Gacy, a bearish, mysterious Illinois man who abducted and murdered more than two dozen teenage boys during the 1970s before he was brought to justice.
